All the must-visit city sites can be seen with the Christchurch Pass. The pass allows for a one-day visit or multiple days to visit the attractions at the user’s discretion. The pass comes with entry tickets to all the included attractions. Tour operated by Christchurch Attractions.
Passengers can relax and enjoy the picturesque views of different sections of the gardens while being chauffeured around the 21-hectare area on an all-weather electric shuttle. During the 40-minute ride, a live commentary highlights the seasonal attractions along the route, providing visitors with a comprehensive overview of this vast and prestigious location. The Botanic Gardens Tour is highly recommended for both locals and tourists, as there is always something new and interesting to discover every season.
The Botanic Gardens Tour is available for scheduled tours every day from 10am to 3:30pm. Passengers are advised to arrive at least 10 minutes before their scheduled tour time to check-in with the driver and take their seats.
The shuttle and trailer used for the tour can accommodate up to 19 guests, along with the driver. The electric shuttles are environmentally friendly and feature clear plastic sides that can be utilized in case of rain. A small stepstool is available for those who need assistance boarding. However, the tour is currently unable to accommodate wheelchair-bound passengers.
The tour departs from nearby the Peacock Fountain close to the Botanic Gardens entrance at the Canterbury Museum: look for our purple flag marking the departure point. Tour operated by Christchurch Attractions.
