Meet your host at your Adelaide accommodation around 9:15am (McLaren Vale pickup around 10am), along with other guests who may be joining you. Your journey takes you South through the scenic Adelaide Hills, passing through the historic settlement of Clarendon. Get to know your group and your guide as they find out what you’d all like to experience on tour.
BERESFORD ESTATE

Relaxing in the fresh country air with views across the impressive Beresford Estate, you’ll be serenaded by local birdsong as you’re guided through a tasting of estate grown wines. If you’re lucky you’ll spot wild kangaroos, ofter seen frolicking among the vines.
Here you’ll taste a range of everyday wines made in a traditional full-bodied style. It’s an introduction to the wines McLaren Vale is known for, and what you’d expect to find at most retailers.
K1 WINERY

Meandering our way up the hillside, in just ten minutes time you’ll find yourself rolling down the tree-lined boulevard to picturesque K1 Winery. Technically situated in the Adelaide Hills wine region, why are we here on a McLaren Vale wine tour?
This is a great chance to contrast the wines from the Mediterannean climate of McLaren Vale against those of the cooler climate at K1. You’ll really be able to taste, smell, and understand the differences.

Here you’ll enjoy a seasonal feast sourced primarily from their own organic garden wherever possible. Taste the flavours that define the region and have made this one of South Australia’s best regional restaurants (all dietaries catered for).

Find a shady tree to relax under or some vintage furniture to sink into in the eclectic cellar door at Alpha Box & Dice. Creating a figurative Alphabet of Wine, they’ve become a champion of South Australia’s alternative varieties, exhibiting innovation at every step of the process by bending traditional winemaking norms.
As you can imagine, here you’ll taste the unexpected, from grape varieties to techniques, in a feat of flavour gymnastics. Limber up!
SAMUEL’S GORGE WINES

Perched on a hillside overlooing the Onkapararinga Gorge is this truly hidden gem boutique winery. Realx on the lawns in the afternoon sun with a view over the National Park, or take up a spot in their warmly welcoming tasting room. You’ll be guided through their range of forward thinking, masterfully created wines. Their friendly and relaxed tasting experience is the perfect way to end your McLaren Vale wine tour before heading back to Adelaide for around 5:00pm.

We take you to top-quality wineries with great experiences and wines you’ll love. All tasting fees are included in the price of your tour. No winery is off-limits, we take you where we think you’ll love it the most!
TINY TOUR GROUPS
With a maximum of just 6 guests on tour at any time you’re guaranteed an intimate day where your individual experience matters. Don’t want to be just another number lost in a sea of people? We even depart with just 2 guests!
DESTINATION DINING
All tour lunches are at one of the most popular restaurants in the region. You’ll get to try a spread of their seasonally inspired dishes mainly sourced from local farms. Soak up the atmosphere and flavours that define the region.
CANCELLATION POLICY
- 35+ days to departure – Full refund
- 15 – 34 days until departure – cancellation fee equal to 25% of retail rate
- 14 days or less until departure – cancellation fee equal to 75% of retail rate
- An administration fee of $30 per person is charged above the above fee.
Unused portions of tours – No refund is provided for any unused portion of a tour, including the entire tour in the event a guest fails to meet at the designated start time and point of the tour.
Cancellation due to being infected with a pandemic virus or presenting symptoms associated with a pandemic (i.e. COVID) – Should guests be infected with any pandemic virus or be presenting symptoms associated with a pandemic virus, guests are legally required not to partake in the tour. Under such circumstances, guests will be eligible for a voucher redeemable for the same/similar experience originally purchased, valid for 24 months from the date of cancellation.
PICK UP INFORMATION
Adelaide City Centre Accommodation: Please be ready and waiting in the reception area of your accommodation for pick-up between 09:15-09:30am for a smooth and easy departure.
Other accommodations: Your guide will contact you with a specific pick-up time in the lead up to your tour.
